During a mountain bike tour through the Sierra Nevada Gary Erickson felt sick and tired after eating common energy and protein bars. So the baker’s son decided to create an energy bar himself – but more delicious and healthier. With CLIF Bar (named after his father Clifford) he created bars from natural and nutritious ingredients. The range also includes vegan variants. With the Nut Butter Filled series also the first bar with a nut butter filling in organic quality.
